On August 25, TACSEN held a workshop on how to lead knowledge-based employees. The workshop attracted over 100 well-known business executives. We also received a lot of positive feedbacks from the guests.
This time, we invited Mr. Norman Sze, Northern Region Managing Partner of Deloitte China, to explain his case of leadership development. At the same time, Terence Yeung, who appeared as the guest speaker of TLC Forum for three years in a row, also shared the latest research on leadership development.
In this sharing workshop, two topics have been discussed.
- In current situation, what kind of leader can be regarded as a good leader and what characteristics he/she has?
- Finding a solution by innovative way and cooperation.
- Developing leadership by various culture, personal background, knowledge sharing, communication and adventure.
- Developing leaders by simulation exercises in corporate settings
- Evaluating leaders ability by the evaluation of leaders’ problem solving ability and the research pattern of thought of leaders.
- Finds from 30 years global leadership research
- Great leaders all over the world have common behaviors, they are model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable other to act and encourage the heart.
- 95.8% of direct reports highly engaged when leaders “very frequently” or “almost always” use the practices above.
- 4.2% of direct reports highly engaged when leaders don’t use the behaviors above.
Finally, we are grateful for Norman’s wonderful speech and Terence’s sharing again. We would also like to thank the co-organizer, HKU Space.
